Global reputation and network
It all started in in 2015.
Sevo Widodo took his first solo trip, moved to Brazil, and fell in love with travel forever.
He went on to visit 85 countries, and reside in ten of them, most recently being Kenya, Portugal & Germany.
The idea of creating a 'live-like-a-local' platform was born during a motorcycle ride in Uganda.
Sevo tested the concept by building the Siliconbali project in Portugal.
In 2021, the project won United Nations' largest prize for cultural tourism, out of more than 10,000 projects.
Sevo was awarded a full-scholarship from UNWTO, and took a sabbatical year in Paris to study hospitality with star chef Alain Ducasse.
Hyperlocal was born, under the mentorship from UNWTO and Sommet Education.
The first content for Guides launched in Paris, Milan, and Berlin.
Dubai Tourism came on board, and Hyperlocal relocated to the UAE in 2022.
We launched Tours, with more than 150 bookable tourist activities in the UAE.
The first series of Hyperlocal Trips launched in Togo, Guatemala, and Indonesia.
Hyperlocal Sabbatical launched Lisbon - partnering with Inlife to provide monthly stay packages.
